Partnership with 100Kin10

The Orchard Foundation was selected as a partner in a national network, 100Kin10, that coordinates and accelerates efforts to bring 100,000 new science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers into schools by 2021.

Building upon its longstanding work in STEM and Career and Technical Education, The Orchard Foundation will have the opportunity to network with other organizations across the country that are involved in STEM teacher preparation, recruitment and retention efforts, and bring ideas back to Central Louisiana to develop similar programs to enhance the STEM workforce.

100Kin10 partners also have access to exclusive research, learning, innovation and funding opportunities, all designed to foster collaborative problem-solving and support partners in fulfilling their commitments toward achieving the 100Kin10 goal.

The Orchard Foundation was one of 49 new partner organizations accepted into the 100Kin10 network in February 2016. It joins over 280 of the country’s top businesses, nonprofits, foundations and academic institutions working toward the common goal of increasing the number of STEM teachers.
